1. What NoScamForMe Does

NoScamForMe is a free AI-powered tool that analyzes text messages, emails, website links, phone numbers, voicemails, and screenshots to help people identify potential scams. Our goal is to give everyday people — especially seniors and families — a fast, accessible second opinion when something feels suspicious.

We are not a law enforcement agency, a financial institution, or a government body. We are a technology service designed to provide informational guidance.

2. How Our AI Works

Our scam detection system uses triple AI verification using Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT-4o, and Google Gemini, combined with our proprietary database of over 3,000+ documented scam patterns. When you submit content for review, our system:

Analyzes the language, structure, and tone of the message
Cross-references known scam patterns, phrases, and tactics
Evaluates sender characteristics where available (phone number formats, domain structures)
Considers contextual signals such as urgency language, requests for payment, and impersonation indicators
Transcribes and analyzes voicemail audio for scam indicators
Generates a risk assessment with a plain-English explanation

Powered by Triple AI Verification. We use three independent AI systems — Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT-4o, and Google Gemini — to maximize accuracy. 3. Accuracy & Limitations

Our AI is highly effective at detecting common scam patterns, but it is not perfect. You should be aware of the following limitations:

New scam types: Scammers constantly evolve their tactics. Our system may not immediately detect brand-new scam variants that haven't yet been documented.
Context we don't have: Our AI cannot know the full history of your relationship with a sender, or verify real-world facts outside the content you submit.
Sophisticated deception: Some highly targeted scams — especially those personalized with real personal details — may score lower risk than they deserve.
Language and translation: Our primary detection is optimized for English and Spanish. Results in other languages may be less reliable.

Always use your own judgment. A "safe" result from NoScamForMe does not guarantee something is legitimate. If your gut tells you something is wrong, trust that instinct and consult a trusted person or official source directly.

4. Data & Privacy

We take your privacy seriously. Here is how we handle the content you submit:

Content you submit is processed in real time to generate your result and is not permanently stored linked to your identity.
Aggregated, anonymized scam patterns may be used to improve our detection database.
We do not sell your data to third parties for advertising purposes.
Phone numbers and email addresses you submit for analysis are treated as inputs, not stored as personal contact information.

Legal advice or opinion from an attorney
Financial advice from a licensed financial advisor
A guarantee of fraud or a guarantee of legitimacy

6. False Positives & False Negatives

Like all AI systems, ours can make mistakes in two directions:

False positive: A legitimate message flagged as suspicious. This is more common and less harmful — it may cause unnecessary worry but protects you from acting on real scams.
False negative: A real scam that scores as low risk. This is rarer but more serious. Never send money or share personal information based solely on a "safe" result from any tool, including ours.

If you believe we incorrectly flagged something or missed a real scam, please report it using our feedback form. Your reports help improve the system for everyone.

7. Using Results Responsibly

We recommend the following when using NoScamForMe:

Use our result as a starting point, not a final verdict
For high-stakes decisions (large payments, sharing sensitive information), always verify directly with the official organization through a number you look up yourself
Teach family members to check before they act, not after
Report scams you discover to official agencies, not just to us
If something feels wrong after getting a "safe" result, trust your instincts
